In HYBA News...
HYBA TO CONTINUE CODE OF CONDUCT REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL ASSOCIATION MEMBERS. HYBA baseball programs continue to provide positive experiences for the vast majority of our members. Over the past year we are pleased to note a reduction in unacceptable behavior and troubling incidents such as verbal abuse of umpires, harassment of players and spectators, adults entering dugouts and playing fields, and parents aggressively confronting coaches. The HYBA Board of Directors calls on all adult members to build on the positive examples you have set for our players - through continued emphasis on respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship. In support of this effort, the HYBA Code of Conduct provides guiding principles for participating in youth baseball programs. Please click here to review the HYBA Code of Conduct which is a permanent part of our playing rules. HYBA CONTINUES BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR VOLUNTEERS. To help ensure the ongoing protection of our players under regulations of the Little League Child Protection Program, the HYBA will continue to conduct mandatory criminal background checks on volunteers who have regular contact with players. This policy will apply for our head coaches (managers), assistant coaches, and board members. In addition to our regular coaching application form, coaching volunteers must provide government issued photo identification, and complete a Little League Volunteer Application. This form may be accessed via the following link: Little League Volunteer Application The association will pay for conducting background checks. HYBA Mailing Address: Salem Park: |
